Thaikota has some of the best food in the city, and the owners dedication to the food really shows. I have never had a bad meal in this restaurant and rave about it to anyone who asks for food recommendations in Fargo. The owners routinely travel back to Thailand for ingredients and inspiration and while I'm just some white guy, the food rivals places Ive been to in San Diego. The restaurant itself is fairly nondescript but do not let that fool you, it's 100% worth it
Thaikota is what happens when Thai food and sushi decide to team up and cause flavorful chaos. You walk in and the vibe is modern but relaxed. Not stuffy. Not loud. Just clean, sharp, and ready to feed you. The Thai dishes? Bold. Curry that actually commits. Spice levels that mean what they say. Noodles that don’t feel like an afterthought. Then there’s the sushi side of the house. Fresh, well-rolled, and plated like someone cared. Not gas-station sushi energy. Real-deal date night potential. Portions are solid. Service is friendly. Food comes out fast enough that you’re not checking your watch, but not so fast that you’re suspicious. If you’re in Rochester and can’t decide between pad thai or a spicy tuna roll, Thaikota says, “Why choose?” Dangerous place if you’re hungry. Even more dangerous if you say, “Let’s just order one more roll.”

ThaiKota is an awesome place for Thai food. Me and my wife usually orders this set of food. Fish sauce wings are a must try and pair it with their special fried rice with your choice of protein. Truly hits the spot everytime! 🎯 Lastly, their fried tofu with the awesome sauce is the best appetizer to have this set with.
Some best food in Fargo. Very very rich flavors. Khao Soi Curry and Tom Yum Noodles Soup is the best i’ve had. Very Highly Recommend
Excellent, deep, and rich flavors of your favorite Thai dishes. Some of the best food in town. I have only ever ordered takeout online, system is easy to use and the food comes out quick and nicely packaged. I have tried the Drunken Mama and Khao Soi Curry and enjoyed them both. But I have to say, the Tom Yum Noodle Soup is the best item I've had. Don't let it's location attached to a gas station deter you, give it a try!
I will start off by saying I've eaten here 6 times since living in fargo. I've Never had a bad experience, a bad meal customer service is top tier. Food ingredients are fresh and preparation is top tier. I recommend ThaiKota to everyone and they love it as well. Delicious flavorful hot meal Everytime. I order two meals everytime my order is always correct. I'm definitely going to miss this restaurant when I leave. 😮💨
The food here was SO GOOD. Honestly was not sure what to expect when we walked in. It was a casual walk up to order spot—staff was very knowledgeable about ingredients and options (very appreciated as a vegan). Also had clearly labeled vegan options which are what I got: tofu krob and som tom vegan
First time in Fargo, first time at ThaiKota, and WOW! I’ve spent a bunch of time in Thailand and have been to plenty of Thai restaurants around the US, and this easily is one of my favorites. Flavorful, unique, great people. 10 out of 10!
Absolutely love this place! The food is incredible and it’s a great place for both take away and to sit and eat. I lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand for several months and miss the food like crazy, but ThaiKota has perfectly transported me back. Their khao soi is incredible, it’s a great rendition of the classic northern Thai dish. I’m also delighted that they have sai aua! If you’ve never tried this delicious northern Thai sausage, you should because it’s amazing. I’ve never had anything bad off of their menu, everything they offer is incredible. Hands down the best Thai food in Fargo, I can’t recommend this place enough.
